Plessy was there arrested by Detective C.C. Cain on the corner of Royal & Press St.
Violated the 1890 Louisiana Separate Car Act it separated railroad passengers by race. Plessy used the 14th admendment as defense equal protection.
U.S. Supreme Court ruled against Plessy on May 18, 1896. Supreme Court final statement, "We as freemen still believe we were right and our cause is sacred... In defending the cause of liberty we met with defeat but not with ignominy".

Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.(Muhammad Ali's name when he was born) When Muhammad Ali was younger maybe fourteen he got his bike stolen because he was small and that why he got invested in boxing, it was away to protect him self. He stood against the Vietnam War because he refused to be drafted into the army. The U.S athorities banned him from boxing for his refusal to be drafted in the army. He also was a strong activist on discrimination. Campaigned against Isamophobia using the 9/11 attack
